I am absolutely thrilled to have been invited Quentin Blakes recently established House of Illustration to run a workshop at the British Library 'Late' event ILLUMINATE! in March.
In response to the theme of the current exhibition Royal Manuscripts: The Genius of Illumination, I am drawing on my skills and knowledge of calligraphy, and on my passion for typography and illustration, to run a drop-in workshop entitled Book of Letters.

Book of Letters: Renowned illustrator and educator Mary Pullen invites you to create your own illuminated letter drawing inspiration from traditional calligraphy, contemporary typography and the Royal Manuscripts on display.

Illuminated letters, traditional illustration and calligraphy, modern typography, experimental drawing, inspiration from the exhibition - come along and use all of these to create a beautiful and striking illuminated letter to add to the Book of Letters.
